Wexford Has Talent Competition Rules

  • The competition is open to everyone, irrespective of age, gender or type of act.
  • Entry to the competition is FREE!
  • All competitors must take part in auditions which will be held on Sunday 13th January 2019 in Clayton Whites Hotel Wexford.
  • Acts should be no more than 3 minutes duration.
  • Applicants who apply online here can reserve an audition time.
  • Applicants can also turn up on the day but will be issued an audition time on a first come first served basis subject to available times.

  • Auditions can be forwarded by video upload but must reach WHT by Friday 11th January 2019.
  • One act from the "live" Auditions will be given a Golden Ticket pass straight through to Wexford Has Talent 2019 Final
  • Audition heats will be judged by a panel of at least three independent judges. Composition of the judging panel may differ from heat to heat. In all cases for the auditions, the judges' decision is final.
  • Depending on the number of suitable acts, at least 28 acts will go forward to the semi-finals to be held on Saturday 19th January 2019 and Saturday 16th February 2019 in Clayton Whites Hotel Wexford.
  • Semi-finals will be judged by a panel of at least three independent judges. Composition of the judging panel may differ from semi-final to semi-final. At least 12 acts from the semi-finals will go through to the final and those chosen will be based entirely on the judge's scores.
  • The "Wexford Has Talent 2019 Final" will be held on Saturday 16th March 2019 in the Clayton Whites Hotel.
  • The final will be judged by a panel of at least three independent judges and the overall winner will be the act with the highest combined judge's score and will take home the winner takes all prize of €2000. Two new additional prizes of €500 have been added to the prize pot.
  • An analysis of the judges vote will be carried out by an independent adjudicator and the summation of all votes will be completed by this independent accountant.
  • Only pre-accredited media are allowed to record and photograph at WHT events
